The victim, a resident of Sidenreng Rappang district, had told her husband on Thursday that she planned to sell chilies to a local collector. When she failed to return home, her husband and relatives began searching for her, according to village head Suardi Rosi. The following morning, villagers discovered a large python near the woman’s abandoned belongings. Fearing the worst, they killed the snake and cut it open, where they found the woman’s body inside.
